Klaus Schellander studied bass trombone in an artistic and pedagogical context at the Mozarteum University and at the Berlin University of the Arts. Numerous engagements at the Salzburg Festival with the ensemble Salzburger Blechbläserconsort, which he founded, mark his musical path as well as his commitment as a musician with the Camerata Academica Salzburg, at the Musicaltheater Neuschwanstein and in numerous national and international ensembles and orchestras. He has performed as a soloist at home and abroad, attended further training courses in biofeedback, Alexander technique and autogenic training. Since 1990 he has been a lecturer in trombone, ensemble playing and brass didactics at the Mozarteum University and since 1989 at the Musikum Salzburg.
